A good storj- is told about a AA’anganui business man who was being oonvnssed by a supporter of the AA’angenui Pipe Band for a donation towards tlie funds of that organisation, .- being pointed out that the payment of a guinea would entitle one to become an honorary member. “I’ll get one of the pipers to route round on Saturday night and play you a couple of .tunes if you’ll give us half a guinea,” offered the canvasser. “I’ll give you a guinea if you’ll promise not to,” hurrjedfv exclaimed ,the business man. And thus the band will get another honorary member. He’s-a Sassenach.
