FUNERAL OF HITCHCOCK
SOUTHERN CROSS TRIBUTE (Australian Press Association) (United Service). (Received this day at 11 a.m.) PERTH, July 5. The funeral of Hitchcock was impressive. Among the wreaths was one from the Southern Cross, which wirelessed instructions to a Perth florist and bore a card inscribed: “Deep, sincere tribute to a gallant aviatbr who gave his life on an errand of mercy, in endeavouring to succour fellow aviators in distress.”
