WAIKATO BISHOP

(By Telegraph—Press-Association).

HAMILTON, July 4

At the Waikato Synod this afternoon, Air J. G. Wynyard moved that a severe vote of censure be passed on Canon Kayll for an article in New Zealand Truth supporting Bishop Cherrington. Air AVynyard accused Canon Kayll of a breach of privilege. Severn T members of the Lay Clerical criticised Canon Kayll, who, in concluding a Lengthy reply, said:, “You can pass any vote of censure you like. I shall continue the campaign.” He said he was convinced the Bjshop had done nothing to merit the abuse and hostility shown to him in tiie diocese.

The Synod deferred a vote on the censure motion.
