COAL CRISIS
(Australian Press Association) SYDNEY, July 4. A general upheaval in the coal industry has been deferred for the present. The Engine Drivers’ Council are preparing a statement for the information of the Mining Industry Unions’ Conference, which is being held shortly, on whose decision will depend the future attitude of the Engine Drivers’ Association. Meanwhile the Coal Commission is hearing further "evidence fro nr coal officials, in camera.
