VARIOUS .CHARGES. By Telegraph—Press Assn., Copyright. GREYMOUTH, July 1. Andrew John Mntlieson, for having possession of 45 unstamped opossum skins, i was fined £5 with costs. Herbert Moore was fined £2, with costs,, for selling ice cream not up to the standard. William Parsonage, mine manager of Blackball mine, was fined £5, with costs, for not providing adequate ventilation at the mine. Defendant stated the ventilation was temporarily affected by a fall of coal. Duggan and party, of Castle Point mine, were fined £1 with costs for employing John Duggan as manager when lie was not properly certificated. Valentine Armstrong, manager of Armstrong and party’s mine, was fined 10s with costs, for failing to notify an accident immediately. William Rainsdon Avery, aged 20, was remanded to appear at Dunedin on a escaping from custody on June 6th. He was sentenced to seven days’ imprisonment at Greymouth for theft of a purse and also appeared on four charges of breaking, entering and thrift at Greymouth, and was committed for sentence at Dunedin.
