GERMAN OPINION. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). BERLIN, June 2G. . The “Berliner Tageblatt” says that the nitrate agreement will save German farmers £1,250,090 yearly. Britain, Chile, and Germany now rule the wor.d’s market in nitrates. German nitrogen producers took the initiative is price reduction, as the American producer, owing to the Anti-Trust Law, cannot enter into a price agreement. There is speculation whether the Americans will demand retaliation by an increased tariff on nitrates.
