THE WEATHER

The weather yesterday was of an extremely ly.iistorous nature, a. heavy nor-west gale blowing, with very heavy rain storms at intervals. Last night about 7 o’clock there was a heavy electrical storm, the M’tn ing being very vivid and the thunder extremely heavy and very close. Heavy rain followed and the night all through was extremely boisterous with hail and ram showers. This morning there was not much improvement in the conditions, which were very rough and inclement. The temperature had a decided drop, following a heavy snowfall in the ranges and this morning a good white coating was to be seen well down on the lower hi Is.
