It shook tho vessel from stem to stern. A greaser nearby was badly burned. The men on the wharves thought that tho vessel would sink. A small boiler on the upper deck backfired. A great sliect of flame shot up, and the wreckage from the boiler room 101 lon nearby roofs. There was the greatest excitement in the neighbourhood for many minutes.
