RiUGBY, June 23. ■ r - The Wimbledon lawji tennis cTnim/S piorwbips open to-morrow, when the whole of the 64 matches in the first roufid of the men’s singles are put down for decision. The eight seeded players for the men’s singles are:--Henri Cochet, Jean Borotra, W. T. Tilden, F. T. Hunter, Baron De Alorpurgo, G. Lott, B. von Kehrling, and J. C. Gregory. Last year’s champion. Rene Lacoste, will he absent. Mote than 20 nations are represented among the contestants. As usual, a reception of the international clubs by Great Britain took place at Rochampton to-day, when many of ' tlie world’s most ptominent players t®ok part in exhibition matches.
