There was a big crowd, that cheered the boxers,to the echo. Sarron used vicious swings, which occasionally connected, and Leekie was more than once in a bad way. Leekie was severely punished in the 7th round, and he was down twice 'for two short counts, hut he came back in an amazing manner, and piled up points. Sarron got a rough handling thereafter. The New Zealander was hitting cleaner than his adversary. He sed lefts to the face freely, and with telling effect j hut there was always

the danger of Sarron scoring a knockout, so tigerishly did he fight. A large percentage of the crow'd thought that the fight should have teen declared a draw.
