While proceeding with the arrest of a “wanted” man to-day, five miles from Apia, the Inspector of Police and Lwo of the constables were, attacked by a considerable, body of ’.natives irmed with knives and sticks. The attackers were hold off with revolvers. Police reinforcements came. After •emoving obstruct ons placed across the road, the reinforcements found that the natives had dispersed.
