The Bishops, at a conference at Lambeth Palace last week, have decided to recommend to the Convocation on the 10th. July, the use of the 1928 Prayer Book Revision, subject to certain conditions.

It is understood that the vote of the House of Commons on the matter will be ignored. Tlie Bishop of Exeter disagrees with the proposed action, declaring that it is not the right of the clergymen to use any Book other than that of 1662, without the authority of Parliament. He said he had taken an oath to this effect, and was bound thereby. Sir Wm, Joynson Hicks says that he is desperately sorry at the Bishops’ decision, which he says, will be a very serious one for the Church.
