LATE LOCALS.
The Mayor receiver a telegram from the Prime Minister last night expressing the sympathy of the Government with the sufferers in the late earthquake, and stating the Government would do its part where circumstances warranted. Mr Perry replied to-day to Sir Joseph Ward thanking him for his kind message of sympathy and offer of help.
