A successful sports gathering was held at Wataroa on 13th ,I line, when an excellent programme was keenly contested, the finishes being close in every instance. The results were as follows: Maiden chop, 12 inch log: I*\ Heveldt 1, R. Green 2. Upright chop, 12 inch log: Tom Crowan 1, R-. Green 2. Underhand chop, 14 inch log: Mowat 1, Crowan 2. Handicap saw, 14 inch log, two cuts: R. Green and F. TTeveldt 1, J. Walsh and- E. Mitchell 2. Cycle race; Henry Hcvehlt 1, Frank Payne 2, Andrew Heveldt 3. 100 yards race: Henry Heveldt I, Frank Egan 2. 120 yards:-J. Nolan 1, A. Nolan 2.' 220 yards: J. Nolan 1, A. Barret 2. To wind tip a most enjoyable day, a dance was held, when prizes were allotted as follows for fancy costume: Ladies, Miss Nissan (Reckitt’s Blue) 1, Miss Doris Heveldt (Continuance) 2. Gentlemen: A. Delin (Admiral) 1. G. Glass (Sum Hung) 2. The music
