ADDINGTON STOCK SALE. CHRISTCHURCH, June 19. Beef.—A medium yarding, of good demand, and a rise of 30s to -10 s per head on steers. Heavies and cows sold at late rates. Steers sold: Heavy £lB 10s to £2O IBs; medium £l3 to £l7 10s; light £lO to £ls 10s; medium £9 to £l2 10s; light £7 10s to £8 10s.' Fat Sheep.—A medium yarding and a firm demand, with a sharp rise on late rates. Extra wethers to 41s 3d ; prime 34s to 375; medium 30s to 33s : light 26s 6d to 29s 6d. Extra ewes to 38s 4d ; prime 30s Od to 335; medium 24s Od to 27s 6d; light and inferior 17. s to 23s 6d.
Fat Lambs.—A very small and mixed yarding, with prime lambs very scarce. Prime lambs sold to 36s 4d ; good lambs 30s to 32s Od ; medium 27s to 295; light 22s Od to 26s Bel.
Store Sheep.—A very small entry of lambs. Three-quarter bred ewe lambs fetched 27s Od, Romney ewe lambs 31s to 32s 6d, wether lambs from 15s Od to 19s. Adult sheep: A very'small yarding and a small attendance. Twotooth ewes sold to 34s Od; two, four, six, and eight tooth ewes to 35s (id aged crossbred ewes 17s; haßbred 21s 9d; wethers 21s to 265. Fat Pigs.—A small entry of porkers and bnconers. The pork market opened with an advance on late rates, hut eased as the sale progressed. Bacon was a shade easier. Choppers fetched 30s to £5; light bacon C 3 to £3 10s: heavy bacon £3 12s Oil to £4 ; extra to £4 10s Od ; average price Ocl per pound. Light 33s to 40s; heavy 47. s Ocl to 595; average 7d per II).
