During his stay the degree of Doctor of Civil Law will be conferred upon him by the Ford University. CABINET APPOINTMENTS. RUGBY, June 18. Sidney Webb has asked Mr Ponsonby, Parliamentary Uunder-Secre-tary of Dominion Affairs to assume the Chairmanship of the Oversea Settlement Committee. The Colonial Secretary has appointed Major Church to be a member of the Colonial Appointments Committee in place of Doctor Drummond Shiels, who has resigned his membership on appointment as- Parliamentary Under-Secre-tary to the India Office.
