COOK v. RISKO. ’ DECISION- FOR AUSTRALIAN. United Press Association By Electric Telegraph-^Copyrighti. NEAV YORK, June 17. Cook won jn the fifth round on a foul in a fight at Boston against Kisko, who ruled a slight favourite. The weights were: Cook 138 f ibs., Risko 187-11 hs. They fought on fairly even terms in the first round, both missing frequently. Risko landed a hard right to Cook’s body in the second round, Cook going down and claiming a foul, but the referee disallowed it, and as the Australian rose, Risko rushed him landing lefts and rights to the body. Cook appeared to he hurt, Risko was punishing the Australian’s face in the tnird. wnile in tlie fourth Risko landed hard lefts to the body, pounding i lie .-•.iisti'alian’s kidneys-on the breaks from the clinches.
Cook tried forcing tlie fight, and stepped in, only to take a terrific right which appeared to land in tiie region of the heart, and another to the bod;*. Cook claimed lie had .been hit low but he did not appear to bd hurt, and he remained on liis feet. . Between the fourth and . filth found Book’s seconds, unsuccessfully tried to get the, referee to examine CooK.
The Australian started the fifth round with a rush, and ltisko landed a left hook to the body. Ciook went down.
