« MAU MEN AND POLICE. •' \iwtralian Press Association) APIA, June 15. Six civil police were arresting a member of the- Man on Saturday morning at Apia, in the main street. They were attacked by Man men, armed with heavy batons. The police were reinforced, and a general light followed. , Throe of the police were injured, requiring medical attention. Other police suffered minor injuries. Fifteen members of the Man were injured by the police batons. 'Hie arrest, that df the chief Tagaloa, was finally effected. The present leader of the Alan, named Faumuina, unsuccess!ally endeavoured to restrain tho Mau members, and lie later addressed a gathering'’in front of tho Post Office, and advised them to await development;.
