(Received this day at 8 a.m.) PARIS, JuncM3. “ I c Matins ” Rabat correspondent describes the experiences of Lieut. Ilriard who was' wounded by a bullet fracturing his shinbone early in the fight and lay daylong while the fighting raged round him. In the evening the rebels went round killing the French wounded. Ilriard pretended to ho dead and miraculously escaped detection. Next morning die saw a French detachment, hut failed to attract. their attention. Later a ifrieiully native assisted him to rejoin his comrades and he was taken to ATeknes in an aeroplane. Ilriard states he saw the rebels kill two leaders of the native detachment. Other reports state two thousand rebels were engaged and used quickfiring guns. Strong reinforcements have been despatched, including eight battalions of the Foreign Legion.
