NAVAL EXERCISES

COMBINED MANOEVRES

(Australian Press Association). (Received this day at 9. a.m.) SYDNEY, June 13. A mimic battle waged in the week end has established the value of combined exercises by the Australian naval squadron and New Zealand light cruisers. It is reasonably certain that the two .squadrons'will combine in important manoeuvres each year. Arrangements are already being made for a visit by Australian ships to the Dominion next year. The Dunedin and Diomede are now anchored at Hervey Bay with the Australian ships and preparations are now being made for exercises on land at'Fraser Island.
