BIG SYDNEY FIRE
HEAVY FILM LOSS. (Australian Press Association) SYDNEY, June 12. A large fire which gutted the major portion of .Metcalf bond and free “tores on the harbour front, caused upwards of £109,020 worth of damg s to-day. The Fox Film Corporation lost £50.X\'/ sterlings worth of cinema film, mostly the la vest “talkies.” Other film organisations had smaller losses. There were violent ox”lesions when the films caught fin*, making t’ e firo-m-m’s job’ a hazardous one. Miscollaneous merchandise stored elsewhere .suffered d-’inage hv water. The origin of the fire is unknown.
