FRENCH FORCE
DECIMATED NEAR MOROCCO

PARIS, June 12
A serious French reverse in Morocco is reported by “The Times’s” Tangier correspondent, who says that two companies of French Moroccan infantry, supported by a detachment of cavalry, were attacked by a strong body of natives near EPfud. Eight officers, including the commanding major, were killed, and tlie survivors’ whereabouts are unknown.
General Viealon, commanding the troops in Morocco, lias gone to the scene.
General Lucien Faint, the resident General, has hurriedly returned to Rabat from Agadir, thus suggesting that the situation i.s viewed with some anxiety.
