FOOTBALL.

WESTLAND SUB-UNION. MONDAY, JUNE 10th. The Executive jnet at 8 p.m. Present: —Messrs H. M. Coulson (chair), Stafford, Cooper, Dowell, McGregor, Williamson, Cutbush, McDonald, Howat, Williams, Breeze and Heenan. The minutes were confirmed and outward correspondence approved. INWARD CORRESPONDENCE. From S. Fleming asking for reclassification as a junior.—Received and request granted. From West Coast Rugby Union, asking support to proposal for junior representative games between Duller and West Coast at Westport and Greymouth.—Received. It was resolved that as tlie Sub-Union desired a junior game at Hokitika on the date suggested they could not support the proposal. From Kanieri School, asking for grant of a football.—Received and acceded to. From Knkatahi Club, supplying in■l'ormation in regard to Ryan.—Received. It was resolved that the West Coast Rugby Union be supplied With tlie information.

The Chairman moved that the SubUnion greatly resents the suggestion made by a member of the W.C.R.U. that the Sub-Union was-endeavouring to bide something in connection with the D. J. Ryan matter, which was contrary to fact. Seconded by Mr McGregor and carried. A discussion took place in regard to the late starting of senior games, and it was resolved that all matches played under the Sub-Union be timed to start at 1.15 p.m. and 2.45 p.m. sharp. Accounts as scheduled .were passed for pavment. FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY. Senior game, 2.45 p.m. (Mr E. W. 1 leenan). JUNIOR, Kiwi v. Rimu, at Rimu, 2.45 p.m. (Mr D. Heennn). Excelsior v. Arahura, at Hokitika, 2.45 n.m. (Mr D. Williamson). Kokatahi v. Ross, at Kokatahi, 2.45 p.m. (Mr M. Wallace). It was resolved to ask Inangahua Sub-Union if they were prepared to accept a challenge for the Dittman Shield at an early date. Mr Williamson was appointed to represent the Westland Sub-Union at the conference on Newman Shield rules.
