TIMED FOR MOTOR OFFENCE. ,By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) WAT.PUKURAU, June 7. Patrick Egan, drover, Waipukurau, was charged with being in. a state of intoxication while in charge of a motor car on April 18th. and a second charge was preferred, that of resisting Constable liutler in the execution of his duty There was a plea of guilty to both charges. Magistrate Mowletn - said that beer and benzine would not j mix. A serious menace on the roads was the drunken motorist. On the first charge Egan was convicted and fined £2O. his driver’s license was cancelled, and he was prohibited from driving a motor vehicle until October Ist. 1930. A prohibition order was .issued by consent. On the second charge, of resisting the police, he was convicted and fined £o, in default one month.
