FIREMEN CRAWL IN.

Firemen had to go on their hands and knees to enter a blazing furrier’s warehouse in Spital Square, E. Flames and smoke were belching from the se-cond-floor windows of the building, which is occupied by Messrs H. and J. Gertler, just before ten o’clock. The door resisted all tho firemen’s efforts to force it open, and they had to he uontent with smashing in a single panel, through which they crawled. The outbreak was speedily extinguished, but not before the two top floors, used as workrooms, had been burnt out and a quantity of furs damaged by fire and water.
