CONVERSION OF CAR

Captured alter a struggle with Traffic Inspector Courtney last night, William Thomas Youlden, aged 38, admitted in the Court this morning having converted to his own use a car valued at £350 owned by Air b. S. Gordon, agent of the British Imperial Oil Co. Air Gordon left his car outside the Hamilton Station, and on returning found it moving mT. He jumped on the running hoard but the unknown driver accelerated and Gordon jumped off. The car collided with three parked cars and then stalled. "Inspector Courtney found. Youlden hiding in the rear of the car. A otildon attempted to escape, hut failed. The Magistrate this morning remanded Youlden in custody to permit of the police enquiring as to his antecedents.
A police sergeant stated that A Hidden came from Australia only a few days ago.
