Long journeys between Australian capital cities are gradually being reduced by aviation. The latest development in aerial transportation is Ihe inauguration of an aerial service with huge passenger carrying machines between Perth and Adelaide, by Wes tra linn Airways Company. 5
Trial flights with two suchmachines, named City, of Perth and : City of Adelaide have just been completed.. The entire distance of fourteen j hundred and fifty miles from capital to capital was 'accomplished in fourteen flying hours, whereas the same trip by trains' on the continental railway ’ occupied nearly four .days .anti--six- by steamer. 1 ' :
Each of these aeroplanes cost ’ fifteen .thousand stealing/ and is '.capable of carrying fourteen passengers on a normal flight and twenty-one on shorter trips, when less petrol is; required.
