A message from Dallas, states the British and American Rotary delegates clashed over the question of British economy and American expansion, when the resolution, to reduce the annual pel 1 capita tax from Tour dollars and a-lialf'to four was presented. After considerable agreement the convention agreed to reject the proposal. The convention also rejected the Bri-tish-lrish proposal to abolish the second part of the motto, concerning profit, lmt there was little debate upon it. Hmrb 'Coll way, Newcnstlc-on-Tyno, offered a tax reduction proposal, criticising the business affairs of the Rotary International, and charged money was being spent too fast.
