Tbe Chinese authorities claim the premises were used as a meeting place by members ’bf tbe Third international and that documentary proof .pif a., s&qrct agreement between Ectidyulisiaiig and the'Soviet .>• Government were 'found there; but another reason is assigned for the action, in an important move in the Chinese campaign to secure complete control of the Chinese eastern railway, which at present is a joint Sino-Russian enterprise.
