(MUTUARY. (By Telegraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, May 30. Obituary.—Mrs Elizabeth Mary Holdsworth, widow oif the late J. G. Holdsworth, aged 86 years. She was a daughter of the late Benjamin Smith, coining to New Zealand as a child. C. W. Smith, Christchurch, is now the only surviving member of the family who arrived in the Carnatic in 1854. In the Magistrate’s Court, Robert Roberts was sentenced to a year’s hard on each of two charges of presenting valueless cheques, one for a tenner and the bther 'for a fiver.
