To rumours originating in Auckland that a .serious epidemic has broken out in Samoa, resulting in 1300 eases and 72 deaths, the Prime Minister stated to-night that from official advice he had received, tv credence need be attached to those rumours. The health of the Islands had been well ascertained from recent visits.
