AUCTIONED IN LONDON. Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyrigntj. LONDON, May 29. “Tne Times’s” Paris correspondent says that a collection of antiques belonging to Prince do Lamonkowa, a descendant of the Napoleonu soldier Marshal Ney was auctioned to-day. Ibe London dealer, Joseph Duvoen, secured the most important article for £3,325. It consists ol a table constructed of bronze pucdaiii. to Napoleon Bonaparte’s order in 1806, immediately after the Battle of Austerlitz, to commemorate his victory. The top consists of inlaid miniatures of Napoleon and of all his Marshals. When the auctioneer disclosed the purchaser’s name, the museum authorities entered a caveat, under the French huv, which prevents the owners from parting with the table until the State has been given a fortnight’s opportunity to huv the table at the auction price. The French Government has since exercised its legal right of pre-emption. Tlie table goes to tlie Napoleonic Museum at Malmaison.
