BURGLARS RAID STRONG ROOAI. NEW PLYAIOUT May 27. The premises of O. O. Ward, Ltd., drapers, were entered on Friday night and just over £309 was stolen. Next morning tiie strong room door and the safe were found open, and the cash contents were missing. There was mulling to indicate bow the building was entered, but it is thought that clever burglars were at work. Notes and coins were taken, all cheques being left. Two cash registers were rifled without damage to the mechanism, showing that the thieves knew, or discovered, the combinations of the locks. It is now revealed that a Hawcra establishment was recently robbed of goods and £9O.
