SDK 10 US T!: E FTS lI IXTED. ■ Hy Telegraph—Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 28. Arrested yesterday, Vincent Walter A Lor Icy, aged 39, a dentist, appeared at the Police Court to-day. He was charged that he received on September 9. 1926, £6 13s on terms which required him to account 'for it to h rederick John Raviier, and that he fraudulently omitted to do so, ancl thereby committed theft. Chief Detective Hammoiftl, in asking for a remand until June 6, said that so far the amount involved was: "about £2uo. Ho added: “Goodness knows what the amount will he this time next week, as other charges are pending ! ” “ It is unfair for the Chief Detective to make such a statement,”, said Al.i- Inclor, who represented Morley. “ It is a matter of figures, and I desire to go into them. I would ask that your Worship order the suppression of my client’s mime until the facts come before .the Court. Accused was remanded on bail of £250. .Magistrate Hunt refused to make an order for the suppression of the name.
