ATTEMPTED SUICIDE,

WELLINGTON, May 28

Allen Grant Wishart, a seaman, aged 29, who plunged into the harbour yesterday was to-day charged with drunkenness and attempting to commit suicide. The .police stated that after he was pulled from the water by a watersider, letters were found at his hotne indicating lie intended to commit suicide and that his body, would he- found at the wharf. He had had some trouble with his wiifc. On a charge of drunkenness he was convicted and discharged. On the other charge he was ordered to come up for sentence within twelve months if called upon.
