(United Press Association. —By ElectricTelegraph.—Copyright.)
(Received this day at 9.25 a.in.) LONDON, May 23.
A party of New Zealand producers, headed by Sir J. Parr, inspected Hay's wharf, which is London’s greatest. They were piloted by the director, Admiral Sir Aubrey Smith. Sir J. Parr later cruised downstream and saw the Mataroa unloading butter and cheese at King George dock. The producers were very satisfied with the handling. Admiral Smith eulogised New Zealand’s packing. The party inspected cold stores containing vast supplies of New Zealand and Australian butter and cheese. Officials drew attention to increasing Russian rivalry with Denmark, New Zealand and Australia.
Sir James Parr, in a speech at lunch, said New Zealanders appreciated Hay’s efforts to facilitate marketing produce. Director Humphcys said he would welcome ideas from the Dominions of any improvement in handling.
