FORBIDS BEAUTY SHOWS. . <Received this day at 8.30. a.m.) ROME,. May 23. . Muss Mini has issued a decree strictly* forbidding beauty shows as immoral,-in a tendency of undue exalation of feminine ebauty. A fear is felt that another- decree may end the' reign of pyjamas in Lido and other seaside resorts. ' Beauty shows have become most popular in Italy. There is hardly a. town or village without a local queen or princess. ' Lake, seaside, and mountain resorts are already preparing for summer competitions.. Under Fascim, women as well as men are expected to take a serious view of life and morality" A’, crusade in dress is now also sweeping Italy, attributed to the new influence of the Church since the reconciliation.
