COTTON MERGER
A BIG COAIBIXE. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). (Received this day at 8 a.m.) LONDON, Alay 22. A big merger in the spinning mills, Egyptian section, of Lancashire cotton trade is announced. The “Times” says it already includes thirty mills, comprising more than three million spindles, but other firms owning nearly two million spindles asked to be allowed to join in the merger. The underlying idea is to prevent price cutting.
