4 v RIN TIN TIN—FRIDAY. Kin-Tin-Tin has been growing in popularity ever since he made his spectacular screen debut in “ Where the North Begins.” Warner Bros, has been specially fortunate in the vehicles thev have given the star who now holds the undisputed title -of “ The Greatest Dog in the World.” But never lias he had so great an opportunity to demonstrate his almost human intelligence and his amazing courage, a-s in “A Dog off the Regiment,” which in many ways portrays his own early life m devastated France. We first see Rinty in peace times when he is the chosen pal of young Dick Harrison, an American, and Marie Hoffman, a. beautiful German girl. Then the war clouds break and Harrison returns as an aviator. It is in the midst of. a terrific bombardment that his plane hurtles to the ground, pinning him under the blazing ruins. Rinty rescues him. Rinty, being a dog, does not realise that “ scraps of paper” can change friends to enemies. Once a pal always a pal is dog logic, and Rinty lives up to it. “ A Dog of the Regiment” tells the story of a German Red Cross Dog who saves the life of a former pal, an American ace, and goes through adventures by land, water and air, which seem unbelievable in their cleverness and daring. Ross l.edorman directed ' this greatest of Rinty’s pictures. Tom Gallery, Dorothy Gulliver, and John Peters are in the cast. A topical, comedy and further chapter of the great circus serial will also be shown.
