MEMORIAL PLAQUES
FOR N.Z.E.F. DEAD. 'Bv Telegraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, May 22. The Defence Department lias received advice that it has been decided by the British Government to extend the issue of a memorial plaque and scroll, originally designed to commemorate those who lost their lives in the Great War, to all those members of the N.Z.E.F. who have died since the war, and before Ist Sepetember, 1928, whose deaths were attributed to war service. 'fhe memorial takes the form of a bronze palque of emblemic design and a parchment scroll with appropriate wording and with each there is a letter from His Majesty. Scrolls have been received by the Defence Department and are to be issued to the blood next-oif-kin of deceased soldiers. The plaques have not yet arrived, but are expected in a few months time. Applications for the memorials should be addressed to the N.Z.E.F. Base Records Office, Wellington, with full particulars.
