HELD FOR DEPORTATION
ORDER FOR RELEASE. (United Press dissociation—Bj Electric Telegraph— Copy right). (Received this day at 12.25. p.m.) Vancouver, May 21. Dr Ernest Eitner, a Swiss physician dentist, held for deportation by tbe Imiiug(ration , Department authorities since his arrival here from Australia aooard the Aorangi, on March 29th., was ordered to bo released to-day by Chief Justice Morrison, on a writ of habeas corpus. Eitner stated he was on the way around tbe world, and simply intended passing through Canada holding a ticket to Southampton. The Immigration Board Enquiry ordered him to bo returned on tho Aorangi. The Minister of Immigration refused, to interfere and an appeal on the ground that he had been an inmate of several institutions for mental diseases. The Judge held that deportation was unnecessary as Eitner was merely passing through tlie Dominion.
