MISSING SAWMILLER
WIFE RETURNS TO AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND, Alay 20. Airs Sellers, wife of Donald Sellers', sawmiller, of Tuakaii, arrived hack at Auckland on the Niagara this afternoon. Airs Sellers and her husband had booked lor Vancouver' on the Aorangi some time before the vessel sailed. On the night of departure Airs Sellers expressed anxiety" concerning her husband’s failure to board the vessel. However, she was assured that ad would he well and that lie would c Jine aboard later. Alter the Aorangi was at sea. Airs Sellers discovered that her husband was not on hoard. Air W. W. Aleck, solicitor, of Auckland, who had acted for Air Sellers for a number of years, met Mrs Sellers at tlie wharf this afternoon. It is stated that Mrs Sellers, who transhipped from the Aorangi to the Niagara al Suva, had only £BO in tier possession when she found herself alone. She said tlie money was given her by her mother-in-law. “I have been acting for Air Sellers, who was the plainliff in two small ivi.l actions I was about to undertake,” stated APr Aleck. “Like Airs Sellers, 1 know of no reason why Air ■.Sellers should have failed to board the Aorangi. J don’t know where Mr Sellers is at the moment, although it lias been reported that he leit lor Australia on the Alaunganui after the Aorangi sailed.” AH Meek also mentioned that Mrs Sellers’s mother-in-law at New Plymouth had a letter for Airs Sellers, presumably from the vanished husband.
