FIXE DISPLAY ASS Ell ED. In connection with the IvokataliiKoitoraugi Winter Show next week on Tue.si.ay and Wednesday, Mr S. Wright, of Southland, who was a visitor here with the Farmers’ Party lias donated a handsome silver cup which will lie awarded to .the best District Bay. There are two entries, Kokatahi and Koiterangi, and each district is making a big effort for success, rivalry being very keen. There will be a working party at the Public Hail, Kokatahi, on Thursday to proupare the Hall for the exhibits, and any assistance will be welcomed. ' THE ENTRY LIST. In the poultry section the white leghorn classes have filled best, while some are weak. Ducks attracted a good entry. Farm produce will make a good showing, while garden produce is also a popular one. This year the fruit exhibit will be a fairly large one in contradiction to previous years when the entry was poor. Farm products will show a fi'no section, with dressed poultry, hams and bacon in,good supply, and honey a good entry. Home cooking is always a good secii ,n ami this year will he no exception, the entry list being well over 250 in number, ensuring good competition. The miscellaneous and fancy sections will be interesting, while the children’s classes are also well filled. Altogether a very attractive display is assured.
