Adams, Ilowat, Dowell, Cutbush, Breeze and Mr Man.a way. The minutes wore confirmed and outward correspondence- approved. INW All'D CO R R ESPON DEN 08. From Referees reporting on various matches.—Received. Arising out of these reports one junior player "'as cautioned and two others ordered to stand down for one playing Satin day. From Treasurer, report on finances. —Received. The application for transfer of several third grade players was held over. By request the third grade match Arii'bura v. Rimu set down for May 25th. was held over. The Chairman referred to the position of an injured player, and it was resolved to send out lists inviting subscriptions, a vote oi £2 2s being P , | s '’’ ed by the Sub-Union to head one list. The President, Vice-President. Secretary and Treasurer were appointed n committee to handle the appeal. It was resolved to extend an invitation to tho Mori vale Club team to play at Hokitika against Vestland during their coming visit to the Coast. . It was resolved that tho Snb-T iron convey to Mr A. A. Adams con-ato-lations on his election as President n, the New Zealand Rugby Union. SEVEN-A-STDE tourney . • Tt was resolved to hold the annua sevon-n-sidc tournament on a Square on Monday, June 3rd, am that nominations be invited to < ost next Monday for senior, junior, third grade, shrimps and bantams Instructions were given for Breeze Shield and Fowler Cup to be collected and engraved. Speaking at a meeting of Canterbury Rn-div Union Celebrations Committee, U„rCl,airman (Mr S. F. Wilson) said Canterbury had done very badly at the annual meeting of the New Zen am Rugby Union. As far ns dates for representative matches were concerned, it was probably the worst year m the historv of the Canterbury Union m t„is respect. An effort bad been made t„ ru-t the North Island versus South Island match for the jubilee celebrations, but this could not be arranged.
