Tile “Daily Alail” prints a cable from Calcutta showing the Government authorities are contending with serious developments of a nature"' at present unexplained. 'Stringent precautions are being taken to guard the Viceroy and various Provincial Governors, all high civil military officers and public buildings. Rumours are prevalent regarding seoeet movements of troops and material to Northern India. Aleamvhile there is a continuance of Red letters threatening incendiarism of the great Lahore workshops.
The uublie are already demanding that the Government should take It into its confidence and tell the full truth, allaying the anxiety among isolated European communities.
