The King’s Thanksgiving Day will lie on Sunday, 16th. June. Their Alajesties and the Royal Family will attend Westminster Abbey, driving in state from Buckingham Palace. Similar services will be held throughout the Empire. The date is the King’s own choice. He personoily chose Sunday, not desiring that Thanksgiving Day he a glorified Bank Holiday. Those in close touch with the Court say he. has progressed extraordinarily since his arrival at Windsor. His Majesty will go to London a few days before the service. A special Abbey service will be drawn up by tbc Archbishops of Canterbury and York. A similar service will be held throughout the Anglican Churches, other denominations choosing their own forms. The King will traverse the main West' End Streets after the service, if his health permits.
