CHINESE WAR
CANTON LIKELY TO FALL. (United Prow Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). (Received this dav at. 8.30- a.m.) HONG KONG, -May 21. The Kwangsi offensive against Canton has been renewed with marked energy, the morning’s reports indicating the city is likely to fall shortly. The main body of Kwangsi are making towards the arsenal at Shekehang, on the outskirts of Canton. Heavy gunfire is being clearly heard in the city'which is under martial law. H.M.S. Moth and Cicala are standing by at Wuchow, for the purpose of evacuating foreigners. An American warship is there for the same purpose. It is believed that many Canton Chinese are eager tc see Kwangsi win, owing to tiie reputation for progress, of that province. 1
