AUCKLAND REPS MAY VISIT 'L . WEST COAST. JY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSN., COPYRIOH’i WELLINGTON, May 17. During the meeting of the Now Zealand Rugby Union, Mr A. A. Adams, President of the Rugby Union, made a special appeal oil behalf of the West Coast for representatie matches, and he also stated that visits by leading dub teams would also ho of great assistance to those ’carrying on the Rugby Union game in that part of the Dominion. The Auckland delegates agreed that it one of the other Unions in the South Island would lore-go a match with Auckland on its next southern tour, a visit would be paid to the West Coast. RA NF U.RLY SHI ELD F I NTHR ES. WELLINGTON, May 17. According to the' list ol fixtures drawn up by the New Zealand Rugby union, the first match for the Ranfurly Shield will probably he Wairarnpa v. Hawke’s Bay. on July 20th. Other challengers are: Auckland. Wellington, Mnnawhenua, Canterbury, Southland and Otago.
