Timber strikers made another street demonstration to-day and paraded and hooted outside the newspaper offices, Init there was no lawlessness, owing to mounted police following them. BUILDING STRIKE. MELBOURNE', May 17. Ihe employers made application to the Arbitration Court to-day for the suspension in Victoria of the award affecting builders, labourers, carpenters, and joiners. This was granted by Judge Lukin, on account of the timber strike, in "’llich these w rkers are participating. There was no appearance for tlie Union.
