Delegates of the creditor Powers considered Sir ,J. Stamp’s and Herr Scliacht’s draft report with Schaelit’s appended letter accepting the proposed annuity of 2,050 million marks for 37 years, plus payments covering interAllied debts for a further 21 years, ischacht is also undens toad to have offered unconditional payment of 500 mil.ion marks yearly plus the service of the Dawes Loan ami United States Army costs and United States reparations, enabling creditors to commercialise capital the equivalent of an annuity of 503 minion marks, otherwise 400 millions sterling. The lowness of the French share hereof presages a deadlock. French delegates reportedly favour a return to jiapercentages agreeing to the distribution of the new annuity in accordance therewith, but the main opposition will probably come from Belgium and Italy.
